LG enV2 Review - Introduction

A phone for serious text message users, the LG enV2 is a definite upgrade from its larger and less stylish predecessor, the enV. This latest handset offers a full QWERTY keyboard, music player with Bluetooth stereo support, microSD memory card slot and a 2.0-megapixel camera and camcorder, merged together in a well-designed package.
The image “http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:odddZGDYPcCgqM:http://www.slashphone.com/media/data/796/lg-enV2-1.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
Verizon Wireless services include VCAST Music and Video, and VZ Navigator. VCAST Music provides more than 3 million songs from both well-known and independent artists. With VZ Navigator, the enV2 gives audible turn-by-turn navigation to addresses and more than 14 million points of interest, from ATMs and gas stations to restaurants and tourist destinations.
Fans of the enV2 have praised the phone for its vivid 262K-color LCD screens, great audio quality and overall user friendliness. Advanced features like auto text readout, message sort and the ability to store up to 300 text messages now make your texting habit something to celebrate.

The image “http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:xkh_SvpaSZ4LxM:http://www.intowit.com/bloggd/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/virgin-mobile-logo-01.JPG” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
Virgin Mobile has recently released their first phone by LG Electronics, a popular handset manufacturer. This phone is a slim, sleek looking clam shell phone, called the Aloha. It comes in a clean, all white design, with a solid features package all at a low cost. It will have a 3.5" x 1.9" LCD screen, featuring mp3 compatibility and multimedia text messaging. With these selling points it is sure to appeal to its target market.

Customers get a good quality LG made phone with this partnership. However, more importantly, Virgin Mobile gets the benefits of having developed a relationship with LG. Now, Virgin Mobile customers can expect more from LG in the future. With Virgin Mobile's outstanding service and credentials to back them up, I'm sure there will be nothing slowing down the Virgin/LG pair anytime soon.

US Cellular for you!

I think biggest issue with being a small regional carrier is 'ROAMING CHARGES'. I mean, if you live in the area, and don't travel much, then that's fine. But as soon as you get out of your calling area and enter in to ROAMing area, you will get charged for ROAMING fee like crazy.

I remember getting charged for ROAMING when I had LA Cellular. How long was that?

US Cellular has one of the better plans amongst 2nd tier, regional carriers. And they offer one of most complete and exciting line of phones out of all the regional carriers. USCellular offer phones like Motorola W315, LG UX355, Motorola RAZR RED V3M and Blackberry 8703e.

Tracfone for whom?

Where can I buy tracfones at?

Tracfones are available at your local super market. Check out the hangers at the check out stands, next to tabloids magazines.

Who buys tracfones?

People who read tabloids?

This is official explanation on who reads them according to Tracfone website.
The image “http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:wIapJQ2FgC7lCM:https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilY0Td7zMvU_edckJc9-WYsddRQv1sGASmGkEPiguqRuvyOuKM0Oc2_TeugkQ2XOYNJEOBeOYjzmE0_wPAMBNx7XCsO7G0iAKpDVk56_t3dU5ij5re0DsueNT-lPK2jI2iP2CAioBqPRY/s320/questions.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

I mean, if you think about it, they totally have market. Old people, they need phones time to time, like 30-60 minutes a month. Just to keep a emergency line open. Pay as you go totally makes sense.

Also, they got some ok phones now like LG 1500 and LG CG225.

If you have someone who needs phone time to time or on emergency basis, it's worth checking out.

Verizon welcomes new LG Chocolate.

The image “http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:YLXsQGnde9Gf-M:https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAKcGdKcTT5MQSq8A_WimqQvYyPZaLFamLtRLHhTCdV0xd16j8xnWeue6jJv0fkxPsBu8AMXQwbsysxIm0tbD44EKe_Cj3V-kb9NlDUU4hD1OROt8mWRDts2UPTDna75AbyFOfe_uA3cUI/s320/vx8550.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
The LG Chocolate was the first eye catcher in Verizon's line-up and it would only seem right that they would either release an updated version or a follow up to combat with the changing demands of cellular consumers. With that said, we're now presented with the LG Chocolate (VX-8550), the update to the popular Chocolate that is now available via Verizon's website. The updated Chocolate boast new features such as a new keypad that uses touch feedback and a new feature that LG calls "Trace Motion" with uses light to determine the input. Besides the addition of a few components, the phone stays relatively unchanged and users can expect the standard features to include stereo bluetooth, a microSD slot for up to 4GB of storage and so on and so forth. The LG Chocolate is available through verizonwireless.com and was released on the 9th of July so go out and get your oven new and sort of improved LG Chocolate.

LG Chocolate 3

I picked this up last week and this is a top flight phone.

Pros:
Fast - It has an incredibly fast processor with 140 MB of ram... more than triple of any other non-smart phone I've seen.
RF - EVDO is about 50% faster than my ENV and the voice codecs are crystal clear, even in only 1 bar areas, like my living room.
Rhapsody To Go support - Subscription service to the Rhapsody library for 14.95 a month.
Size - Its a long, wide phone but fairly thin. Because of this the keypad is great for bigger fingers. In fact the tactile feel of the keypad is the best I've used.
Screens - Both screens are very big, bright and clear. Because both screens are backlit, you don't have to look at it at the right angle, like the Alias aka Samsung u740. The exterior screen is larger than some interior screens.
Battery life - charged it the first night, 5 days ago. I'm still at 2 bars and I've been using the C3 as my dedicated mp3 player with the FM Transmitter.

Cons
FM Transmitter is adjustable, its only preset to 88.1, 96.1, and 106.1 but it's incredibly weak. My car is an 05 M45 and if there is any type of other signal, the transmitter washes out. It needs to be more powerful, which is something I expect they will fix in an update sooner rather than later because this will be a selling point for alot of people.

The Wheel navigation is a bit quirky. Sometimes you rotate it, sometimes you move it up and down. I personally think the wheel spins a bit too freely.

Memory and Rhapsody needs to be fixed. Some LG Chocolate 3 accessories that I would recommend would be a memory card so you can transfer files to your computer. It cannot detect the internal memory and my 4 GB card at the same time. I have to pop out the memory card and authorize the device a second time to use the internal. Not that big of a deal but it is irksome and I'm expecting that to be fixed in an update as well.

Conclusion
I really like this phone. Its incredibly fast, with a very good feature set. It does need a couple of updates which I'm fully expecting them to fix within the next couple of weeks.

LG Decoy

I think this is the best phone next to the 8300 that lg has put out for a slider phone it rocks. I have had alot of lg phones and samsung and this one is the best so far the sound quality is great the screen size easy to read the phone slides easy and they now have a holster for this phone that you can open the phone with out having to take it out of the holster which is a big plus for me. I dont use the bluetooth I took it out and put in the cover that comes with the phone it does come with a separate charger for the bluetooth so if you dont want in on the phone that is a option the battery life is great on this phone I went from the samsung u 620 which battery life was very bad and this one is great I have nothing bad to say about this phone. you can customize this phone to your liking. There are also LG Decoy accessories to help with the cell phone like cases, batteries, and much more.

LG KF700 ready to strike

The image “http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:4eefK8RaQ3b44M:http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/wp-content/phoneimages/2008/02/lg-kf700-00.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
Slated for release this month is the LG KF700 from LG Electronics. The said mobile phone made a lot waves and noise during the Mobile Phone Convention last month and stirred a lot of excitement and anticipation from the mobile communications community. At a clear vantage point, the overwhelming buzz over the LG KF700 is pretty much justified. One of the probable reasons is that the LG KF700 is one of the mobile phones poised for launch since LG's announcement that they will now only cater to the upper crust of the market. Quite a pressure, if you would ask me.
Obviously, the LG KF700 and the
LG cell phone accessories that come with it are still on the works so it is quite unsafe to make a verdict just yet.
So for now let us all be content with our Nokia phones with their
Nokia accessories or our Motorola phones with their Motorola cell phone accessories.

LG Aloha for Virgin Mobile

[aloha.jpg]
The LG Aloha sports a sleek design and a beautiful exterior finish which is enticing to the eyes. Or rather so minimalist that it could be regarded as a so-so mobile phone. But judgments are really subjective, so here's my subjective view of the LG Aloha for Virgin Mobile. Now that we are past the outside, let's go check the features and how they fare on my personal meter.
The LG Aloha is not a highly-advanced mobile phone with complicated features. The Aloha is basically a phone. So for those who are looking for flip phone with camera and stuff, you are in the wrong hole. Otherwise, the Aloha weighs in at 2.7 ounces, practically light. But the plastic feel that you get once you hold the phone will turn you off instantly.
But if that won't throw you off, then the goodies will come,
think. The Aloha commands a decent performance for phone conversation. Call quality is good but not spectacular. One can actually hear some background noise but not loud enough to disrupt the entire conversations.

If you are thinking of getting this phone and have it customized with cell phone cases, cell phone covers and other mobile phone accessories, you are wasting your bucks pal. Even if Virgin Mobile offers it at $19.99, it's not worth it.
The LG Aloha is a sucker for a mobile phone. No more, no less.

The LG 200C from Tracfone

[200c.jpg]
Tracfone now offers the LG 200C at only $29.99. The LG 200C is a clamshell mobile phone with basic features such as SMS and caller-id. Probably not the kind of phone most people use this days owing to the fact that it doesn't have a camera. And unlike Nokia accessories, the LG cell phone accessories for the LG 200C are very hard to find. Users of this phone have reported that they end up buying data cables from another phone brand since they happen to have the same cable ports.

But, to say the least, this clamshell has reaped good reviews for its voice clarity and excellent signal strength. Users of this mobile phone will appreciate the clear conversations they will experience. Though there are still background noises, these are greatly minimized. For $29.99, the LG 200C is a good deal for any potential buyer who just need a phone, nothing more, nothing less.

LG 3280 for Tracfone

[3280.jpg]

One of the worse phones Tracfone has to offer, the LG 3280 is priced at $49.99.

For those who does not talk for hours and wants an almost indestructible mobile phone that could be used in the area of Wisconsin, the LG 3280 is the phone for you. No amount of LG cell phone accessories can ever amplify the performance of this phone. The LG 3280 is not destined to be a classic, it is fated to join the rest of the bargain bin mobile phones you see at Walmart or Circuit City.
Basically, the LG 3280 is just a phone. No more and no less. But the sad thing about it is that even though the LG 3280 can conjure above average sound quality and a strong signal reception, the battery will die on you all of a sudden. Do not believe what the box says (it states 3.5 hours). It will drain right in the middle of your call. Most likely, a new set of
cell phone batteries and chargers might do the trick but it's not worth it.
Take my advice; get a new mobile phone for your own sake.

LG 225

[225.jpg]
The LG 225 is a mid range clamshell that offers just about every features you will ver need. Nothing fancy, just the type of phone you would give your grandmother on her 75th wedding anniversary. Very easy to use and very easy to customized with cell phone accessories such as cell phone cases, cell phone covers and such, the LG 225 is not remarkable but it is not that bad either.
The downsides for the LG 225 are the low quality of the speakerphone and the pathetic battery life. Its talk time last only up to 2.5 hours. One might need to stack up those
cell phone batteries if you are getting this phone.
Marketed by Tracfone, the LG 225 can also be beefed up with the right set of
LG cell phone accessories.

LG Announces Three New Phones for Verizon

Today LG officially announced three new handsets as part of Verizon Wireless' summer lineup.
  • Dare: This bar-style touch-based device carries a 3.2 megapixel camera that has improved video recording capabilities. It will have photo editing software, as well as direct access to social networking sites. It will be able to use to Verizon's EVDO network and V CAST services, but LG was short on providing more details.
  • Decoy: This slider phone has a built-in, removable Bluetooth headset that is incorporated into the phone's design. The headset will charge when it is stored in the phone. It has a five-way joystick for navigation, and has incorporated GPS. It will be available June 16.
  • Chocolate 3: This latest version of LG's music-centric phone switches from being a slider to being a clamshell. The music control wheel has been relocated to the outside of the phone for access when the phone is closed. It will also have an FM transmitter, stereo speakers, and 1GB of internal memory. It will also support microSD cards up to 8GB in size. It has a 2 megapixel camera, and will be available in July.

LG VX9700 Dare in the wild -- if you can call Verizon "wild"

Sit back, relax, grab the popcorn, and check this out, because there's this really awesome battle going on between LG and Samsung for the hearts and minds of the touchscreen-loving public on Sprint and Verizon right now (and AT&T, too, if you count the LG Vu). The Glyde and Voyager are fighting the good fight as we speak, while the Instinct will be tagging in shortly -- and right behind it will be this puppy, the VX9700 Dare from LG, which is just now getting some of its first shots out in the environs. Like Sprint's Instinct, the Dare goes QWERTY keyboard-free in favor of a virtual pad; specs include a 3.2 megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, microSDHC support, and a wide QVGA display. Rumors have it landing in July, at which point we can drop the chain-link octagon cage and let it go toe-to-toe with the Instinct for dominance. Remember, guys, no biting or hair pulling, and may the best fashionable Korean touchphone win.

LG teams up with Prada

When Motorola joined hands with Dolce and Gabbana in their attempt to launch the first line of fashion phones, it was likely that others will follow suit. Samsung tag-teamed with Armani, Tag Huer and Modelabs soon joined the fray. Now, LG has Prada on its side.
The success of the Motorola RAZR D&G edition fueled other cell phone manufacturers to create the perfect fashion phone, along with the great cell phone accessories of course. But what differentiates the Motorola D&G RAZR from the LG Prada phone is that the LG sports an entirely new concept. The Motorola D&G RAZR is simply a RAZR with an altered outside shell, which the Motorola people tainted with gold. The LG Prada phone utilizes the touch screen technology and has an assortment of features that are absent in the Motorola RAZR D&G. The LG cell phone accessories are entirely different too in contrast with the Motorola D&G RAZR, which is compatible with RAZR accessories.
Whether this fusion of fashion designers and mobile phone manufacturers stay long in the mobile phone business is still uncertain, but they did put some spice and spunk in the mobile communications community.

Thoughts on LG KG290

Probably one of LG's most low priced phones that have high-end features, the LG KG290 is a electronic gem in its own right. LG KG290 combines features, function, fashion, and affordability. A single unit that has all four is pretty much a rarity these days.

The LG KG290 has the features everyone may ever need or/and want. Bluetooth connectivity, MP3 player, FM radio, USB port, 5MB memory, and a lot more in store. With an array of LG cell phone accessories, such as cell phone cases, cell phone covers, cell phone batteries, and et cetera, customizing and further enhancing your LG KG290 poses no problem at all.
But perhaps the best thing about his mobile phone is the fact that no user has ever commented against it. No bad reviews whatsoever. I know it is not perfect but to me, the LG KG290 is truly a great mobile phone to work with. I have no qualms about it. It is user perfect. I know it has some flaws, but I am not sure if I will find them out.

KF510 by LG

LG Communications are now preparing to dominate the high end of the mobile communications market with a line-up of mobile phones that, according to the LG people, are specifically designed to suit the upper caste of consumers. To start with, LG is set to launch LG KF510 on March 2008, though the exact date is yet to be confirmed. As for the mobile phone itself, it is already making some loud noises.
The LG KF510 is loaded with a 3.18 mega pixel camera, weighs at 91 grams, sports a delicately engineered stylish metal frame and an assortment of advanced features for both function and fashion. But what makes the LG KF510 a definite contender for the bestseller title would be its "Interactive Touch Lighting" technology. Little is known about this new technology from LG but it sure is inviting.
The LG KF510 and its compatible LG cell phone accessories, cell phone cases, cell phone batteries, cell phone covers and such, will be commercially available by March 2008. No doubt customized cell phone accessories will bite on the craze once this mobile phone hits the stores.

Viewty is Beautiful

Most people think the word 'beauty' refers only to the outside aspect of some things that are physical in nature. And they are positive aspects too. That, if translated into out modern tongue, means how good does one thing looks. And most people adhere to that kind of belief (me included).
But philosophically, the word 'beauty' means much more than how good looking the outer shell is, though the outside is still a huge chunk of the word. Beauty also refers as to how good the inside is, if you know what I mean. And in our modern age, beauty refers to the overall performance of some one or some thing.
The LG Viewty is some thing you would probably attach the word 'beauty' once you get to know how this thingamajig works. Like the sound of its name, the LG Viewty is beautiful. And I am not going to describe how this mobile phone looks. And I am not going to discuss why it is beautiful.
That, I leave to you to find out yourself. If you have listened earnestly in your philosophy class, then you will understand that before you give your judgment about one person or one thing, then you have to experience them.
Experiencing the Viewty, therefore, is the key to appreciate its beauty. But if you are the perfectionist type, you can try the assortments of LG cell phone accessories such as customized cell phone cases, cell phone covers, cell phone batteries, and a lot more.

LG Trax: Excellent but...

Anybody who is very much in to flipping mobile phones must certainly be drooling for the LG Trax. The design is great and the overall function of the phone is not that bad either. Specifically engineered to match the practical individual, the LG Trax has built-in features for professional and personal use.
The only bad thing with this mobile phone would be the blurry photo quality, which is just too bad for an excellent phone having a 1.3 mega pixel camera that has 4 different resolutions options.
If one can actually see through its flaws (who doesn't have them?), the LG Trax is a thing of beauty. Other basic and advanced features of this mobile phone have proven to be very satisfactory, especially the web browsing part. Of course, you can give it your own personal touch with authentic LG cell phone accessories or with some customized cell phone cases. Or give it more power with a new set of cell phone batteries, though there are no problems with the phone's battery life.

Sweeter than Chocolate, Beautiful than Venus

For LG aficionados out there, LG communications has recently announced the coming of a mobile phone more remarkable than LG Chocolate and LG Venus combined. The LG KF600 is set to take the mobile communications industry by storm but sadly, this gem of a phone will only be available at $300. With that amount of money, you could purchase at least two high end LG mobile phones fully customized with LG cell phone accessories. That's a bit of a bummer there.
But for those who are willing to shell out the Benjamin's when this model hits the stores, read on.
The LG KF600 employs the Touch UI technology that allows users to access menus and phone features by the slightest touch on the screen. Other advanced features include a 3 mega pixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity, video and music player, and GPRS. Performances are excellent on all levels.
If you are going to get this phone, better hoard those mobile phone accessories like cell phone cases, screen protectors, and screen cleaners. You are going to need those.

Another Clamshell Will Bite the Dust

The LG KG375. Expect less if you are anticipating a lot from this mobile phone. In an age where mobile phones sans camera and Bluetooth are nearing extinction, LG tries to inject another clamshell with virtually nothing to boast about. With no advanced multimedia features, the LG KG375 is doomed to hit the bargain and sale bins and stacks as soon as it hits the shelf.

A bit of warning to those who are determined to have this mobile phone for whatever reasons, this mobile phone has not yet been launched in the market. That means mobile phone accessories like cell phone cases, cell phone covers, cell phone batteries, and et cetera are not yet for sale or still in production phase. That means you have a hard time looking for these accessories in one or two years from now.

Ultimately, that means you are better off with some other phone.

LG U960: UGLY

The LG U960 is big, black, and uncool. There might be some who think this phone probably is the best thing given from the mobile communications gods but they are way wrong!

The looks of this phone make you think that this is something aliens would have used. Even with the best of LG cell phone accessories, nothing will ever make this phone look good. It's hideous! Sure the LG U960 has all the features I will ever need (very enticing features, mind you) but I want a mobile phone, not a Transformer. If somebody asks me to if I want to trade my handy Samsung E250 with this monster, I would gladly do it so I can smash this abberation from LG. That's one less ugly mobile phone to worry about. I mean, come on. Who would ever want this phone? Even though my grandmother has repeatedly replaced her cell phone batteries for her Nokia, I know she'd still prefer the Nokia over this ugly from LG.

Maybe that was harsh so let me say that again: I WANT THIS PHONE!!!
